Name of Incorrectly working Mechanic: Pathfinder

Date Tested: Ever since server started - 22/04/2016

Problem: All objects/pet treat the environment to have no obstacles. This means that spells, as well as pets, can travel through pillars. It's an incredibly game-breaking problem since any class with a pet has to manual track their pet to follow their enemy in order for it to do damage as well as cc appropriately.

How it should work: There are only a FEW spells that can travel through walls. I'm not entirely sure which of these it is but I believe things such as penance/soothing mist etc last at least a few seconds out of the line of sight.

Priority: 100/10. Fixing this will certainly fix at least 30% of other existing bugs since they're mainly orientated around this.

 

If people would like to provide insight, that would be most helpful since I'm not completely familiar with how this mechanic works. All I know is that it doesn't work. lol (works on fstorm wod).

I wanted to report this some time ago, but i was busy irl and i completely forgotten about it.

 

I support you with this brother, Pathfinding should be fixed PvP and PvE wise (Due that the hunter / Warlock pets can go through the walls and you cant cc them or run away from them)

 

Same for the pve like you said, spells etc.

 

+1 i hope that this gets fixed soon.

This actually makes me sad.

I'm already so used to it tho lmao.... spaming Ctrl3 like it's totally normal nowdays.

It's weird cause on my dk, my pet needs to be directed first. I need to move him manually so he can be in the target's LoS and then he can run at it, if it's behind a pillar or something and i use my petattack bind he wont attack. Which is odd.
