Pyroblast Damage

Recommended Posts

Name of the spell: Pyroblast

Link: http://www.db.pandawow.me?spell=11366/pyroblast

Issue with the spell: Does incorrect damage. Hope these calculations are correct.

Pyroblast formula: 1816 to 2305 (+198% of Spell Power)

My Spell Power: 18984

(18,984 * 1.98) = 37588

37588 + 1816 = 39404

37588 + 2305 = 39893

39404 + 25% Pyroblast buff = 49255

39893 + 25% Pyroblast buff = 49866

The damage it currently does (without Pyromaniac): 49473 to 49924

The damage it should be (without Pyromaniac): 49255 to 49866

On players:

49255 – 80% = 9851

49866 – 80% = 9973

9851 + 34.62% = 13261

9973 + 34.62% = 13425

The damage it should do: 13261 to 13425

The damage it currently does: 13726

One thing to take in note. It was all done on a mage 496 ilvl, no enchants, no gems, no glyphs or anything.

How it should be: The damage should be applied properlly.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you think or know these calculations are incorrect and false somewhere let me know.

Proof: http://i.imgur.com/BtWPJRG.jpg You can see the damage below in combat log.

NOTE: I only tested it on dummies. If I have to test it on players, let me know.

Date when tested: 25.4.2016.

Priority: 10/10 This damage with full gear allows mages to do ridiculous damage, even in arena. Its super important that it gets fixed.

I've just hit 73k on a training dummy with 36k spell power

73-2=71k

71/36 = 1.97222222 = 197 % spell power dmg which is super legit out of my one strike

what I see might be the mistake in your calcs is that it shows a 25% boosted dmage. Something you get from http://www.db.pandawow.me?spell=48108/pyroblast which is probably what you got :)

PS

I see double scorch crit before the pyroblast in your logs and do you know what that means?

You had 2 scorch crits before = 25% more dmg.

=39404 + 25% = 49,255

=39893 + 25% = 49866

I feel like that buff might be stacked because if Mages are able to hit for 200k there HAS to be something wrong.

i never got a 200k crit from a firemage BESIDE of these days when Pom was bugged. But that got fixed

i play a 550 fire mage and the pyroblasts look as on retail to me, Hansol hits 100k sometimes and so do i but most the times its 90k with trinket

Ofc it does. But people rather posting 10/10 fake reports here.

Some of you guys should face more frostmages i guess lmao

Whatever was on accident from the TC i guess.

Ah, I mistook Pyroblast buff for Pyromaniac obviously, so that's my mistake.

However, I tested it on players and there's about 250 to 300 damage difference than it should be. My guess is that this is resilience bug, or something, I dont know rly.

Still, I need to somehow figure out how people get 190k in arena. That seems impossible.

Ik it sounds creepy, but it would be nice to see it, just to make sure we're closing a thread for a reason.

Declined. I tested it and pyroblast damage is according to the calculations.

Screenshot: http://prnt.sc/b31adk

My SP is 13847. After 20 casts, recount shows: 29236 minimum damage and 29686 maximum damage.

[spoiler=Calculations](13847*1.98) + 1816 = 29233 min.

(13847*1.98) + 2305 = 29722 max.

Working as intended.
