Current state of Pandawow

First of all i want to say that i'm happy about zeox and even the developers communicating with the community and actually fixing really important bugs which we can forward easier due to your help.

 

BUT it can't be possible that we actually get more bugs than we fix. Sure okay we fixed alot of things that were bugged but right now i don't even know what exactly to report because there are so much things which got bugged again.

I'm not talking only about a few bugs, i'm talking about a shit ton of bugs ... bugs which were bugged in the past and fixed by pandawow, just reapplied by our developer. That might sound rude now to all the effort Heisenberg and Deadmous did by just listening to us and trying to fix our bugs. And as i said earlier im thankful for what they have done but if you check the report section we got a shit ton of bugs already and in my opinion it makes no sense continue fixing things till we or you (zeox) found a solution. I just think Pandawow is creating more bugs right now than they fix and i thought i might warn you before all this is getting out of hand (which it is at the moment)

 

Hope to not get trashtalked from you due my criticism towards the Pandawow staff but in my opionion it's just an important point that must be discussed. If here or only teamintern doesnt matter for me

+ bugs which didnt get reportet but repitch will surely do it tomorrow like Vanish + subterfuge where you can't use ur abilities for 3 seconds, just happened today.

I didn't get any reports from the "fixed" section yet btw. These are just the ones who are still in the report section

 

So these were just the one i found within 5 minutes. There are alot more which didnt get reportet yet and sorry for that but as i said i lost completly the overview lol ... sure some are fixed already but that's just how i see it.

 

2 Days ago I saw a firemage having infinite pyros or Shadowpriests who can spam Mindblast because of an bugged proc. Yes as i said they are fixing these things really quick but not without bugging something else.

 

Things like that orb doesn't give an proc at all anymore when it hits the first target are reportet already in the russion section (i heard so at least) so no chance for me to find them.

 

And my worries are mainly about them bugging spells which we can't just discover that easy. These reports were just discovered within minutes/days because MAIN abilities are bugged. But for example for the Nightfall bug we had to play 1-2 weeks against bugged locks till we decided to "re-test" it again. Pandawow fixed minor things like passives which were really gamebreaking over the years and i just dont want them to be bugged so we need another 2-3 years till we discover them all. I guess i don't overreact when i talk about a sh*t ton of bugs because nowadays i experience everyday 2-3 new bugs ...

New season??? I work with development and i never saw such a long time to make a single web site/control panel. w/e. You guys having been fixing a lot (thanks for that) but i never saw such a indiferent and incompetent at all.

This is why it would be amazing with a test server

Players can test the bug fixes before they apply them to the live server

 

No harm done.

 

lol are you saying that once a dev "fixes" like a single spell (or 5-6), there should be some group of players who test absolutely every single class/ability ingame to see if it's broken? That'd take tons of time. Bugs don't appear themselves out of nowhere unless they were there and active on the first place. If you see a new bug it's simply caused by a dev's change (intentionally or not). No offense.

U dont think its worse for devs to test everything as well too? Wasting their time? I mean, all they nedd to do is giving the same concept as fun realm, let us que arenas and see for ourselves

I completely agree, it's been 4-5+ months? Since the season should've ended, you guys should have coded this during the last season and had it ready by the time the season was supposed to end instead of beginning work at the end of the season. How unprofessional..

 

It's actually retarded, I made maybe 3 threads after a month or two of """the season ending""", it's like this every time ..it's disgusting how lazy you are and I'm sad there is no better server, by "better" I mean more populated, because if so, I'd be playing it in a heartbeat and I never would've taken Pandawow out of my recycling bin all those months ago.

 

FYI, I've played on Firestorm and gotten rank 1 multiple times throughout each arena season ..even currently.

Those guys have a much better arena history ladder thing on their website than you guys will ever be capable of coding, and wintraders still slipped easily through it, if you actually want to wintrade ..you have no idea just how easy it is.

 

Sure, it stops no geared characters from afking in the start and even full geared people not doing anything, although all you need are some friends with rating to queue into you and play legit, although "forget" to ice block for example ...I actually think it's impossible to stop that from happening, although I remember you guys saying you check arena logs all the time ..so why do you even need to waste so much time coding this useless shit?

 

Literally, just delete all the changes and "bug fixes" you have ever made to the core, and you'll fix a whole lot more than you ever have done before and then start a new season already..

 

Also, last but not least, I'm playing Mage Priest and often face 2k MW Warrior teams who simply "give up" and don't even auto hit me, even 2.5k ones sometimes, how is this going to look on your new website?

I feel myself getting incorrectly banned in a heartbeat.

 

 

If anybody knows a better server to play on, PM me ..perhaps one with an active arena season

Developers doesn't have "test" skills, they read our report and fix it according to their understanding.

 

A group of players to test ( Aka Quality Assurance Group ) Is the main target for testers, they have the knowledge of whats exactly bugged and whats not.

Also, Quality Assurance group is same like each player in that group has their own class to test.

 

For example in Fstorm, I was Shaman QA, testing everything and I got Maelstrom proc RPPM rate fixed.

 

Here it could be the same, which would enhance the actual fix quality, and not guess for the best.

 

Obvious this group of players doesn't have to test every single shit to see if its broken, you're exaggerating there.

Some bugs from this list are already fixed.

I sent this list to devs, i think they will fix it in 1-2 days.

@Zeox My suggestion is: Maybe let some people sign up .. maybe 5-10 ? Who can daily test the new fixes on these test or dev servers so we can make the devs aware if they bugged something new.

 

They could apply as tester or something like this.

 

I've already said to Repitchx, at the moment we can't do that. We don't have free sever for this, so we need to buy a new one and after that we will need to spend time to launch it & update everyday.

Make a realm and not a server. Update the realm and not all the realms, that's what you have to do.

Realm = REALM ( Additional "tick" in the server )

Server = A whole new server where u can add realms.

 

Update Realm = Update a specific login fracture.

Update Server = Update the whole stationary login fracture.

 

Ironically I know better tho you're the admin.

And after that for update THIS realm , we need everyday recompile sources on our special dedicated server & move binaries to this NEW server machine with NEW realm.

How about the Local servers from the Dev's like Deadmouse or Heisenberg ? Any chance to get in touch with these ?

 

Deadmouse has already given access to Repitchx, as i know. But his sources are not updated to last version. Let me think about Test realm question for some days, maybe i'll find a solution, but i am not sure.

P.S You can launch realm without making excuses that its too much work or being lazy to not hire experienced developers. If you make recruitment for developers, it'll increase your fixes and not bugs.

 

Your statement is literally like a deathtrap to a core.

 

With 1 World DB. EVERYTHING you change on that world db will affect both worldservers. If one column dies then both realms are dead, and one column *WILL* die at one point.

Worldservers don't work well on 1 Db, it's possible but it's not ideal whatsoever.. just wanna clear that out to you, lol.
