Charge bugged through the floor

I charged to a horde (enemy) in what appears to be the second he died. So when I finally hit him, I fell through the floor. Then continued falling, and falling.

After about 5 seconds of falling, I had hit what appears to be the "bottom of the pit", which obviously caused me to die. However, I couldn't release spirit or do anything of the sorts to regain my living self. After about 10 seconds of being sat at the "bottom of the pit" as a dead corpse, the client froze, I had no interaction capability and then "World of Warcraft Retail is not responding...".
