Can't connect when I change game client language to English

I've tried Juster's topic and did everything, still doesn't work. Maybe updating to 5.4.8 was a bad idea, next time just make sure you don't do this through torrent, life was way easier when we downloaded the client and WTF and just ran it on a new folder, if you still know how to fix it please tell me ._. keep in mind Juster, I've tried everything that was in that topic you linked to others, under the 3rd situation.

I tried Juster's tips too, a few times.. Even re-downloaded the game because it didn't work the 1st time. So i thought i would have better luck the 2nd time.

All it shows up with is this error : [ATTACH=CONFIG]57045[/ATTACH] I tried running it as Administrator and closed all of my anti-virus. Still it doesn't work ..

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

I've got the same problem. The thing is that Data folder doesn't even contain enGB or enUS folder containing language data, so i think that Russian is the only language avaiable. So, how to fix this ?

Use the client torrent they provide, then copy over the data/enUS folder to that from a working/blizz downloaded copy of the game, working for me so far.

 

None of the solutions posted will magically make the enUS folder appear.

Yeah that works, but I'mma stick on retail for abit untill things get stable in 5.4.8 , changing the client to English is pain in the ass already so, that says it.

Solved the problem. The thing is, you can't change to English, because the game doesn't have any Data in english - only in russian, as Sausinch stated. So what you have to do is:

1) Delete the WoW you have, cuz it's not gonna work

2) Download retail wow - https://us.battle.net/account/download/?show=wow

3) Its gonna install til 60% or so, then it's gonna stop, because your gonna have all the files neccessary to play, rest of it will continue to download when you play the game.

4) Download PandaWow launcher here http://pandawow.ru/files/PandaWoW_5.4.8.zip

5) Copy over the files to your Retail wow directory

6) Open WTF/Config and change all the "ruRU" to "enUS"

7) Open PandaWow 32 bit or 64 bit launcher to play.

Same problem here.. It's a pitty admins didn't think about nonrussian speaking people :/

I will try Kurais' way and i'll let you know how it worked for me.

The only files you should have in your wow folder are

data

fonts

interface

screenshots

wtf

xxxx.exe aka launchers.

 

delete rest of them.

well all u gotta is delete all wow folder but leave the launcher (game client) then download the settings thing ->>http://filebeam.com/4bdd07da17491c53a3e3a16c2358276b

after u extract the file that was in that in that zip then download the eglish config and put it in the WTF where its should be then let the game get re instaled u wont need o wait 9 hours or so just quick download of 15 minutes or less depend on ur pc and ur cliend should be in english :) had the same problem thats what i did to fix it and it worked BTW if u have problem delete the data folder try to enter the folder delete all till u get erorr then go to the second folder and delete all there till it stops u and so on after u done u gotta go back hte folders and delete the rest :) enjoy 100 % helped most of my guild (the one how asked for help thats the things i told them to so :)

After you change to english be sure to add this line to the config

SET Realmlist "logon.pandawow.ru"
