1. http://db.pandawow.me/?spell=73975

2.

Fixed bug where PvP-power worked on the amount of absorption from spell Necrotic Strike.

Now necrotic strike dont benefits from PvP power.

3. Healing absorb from Necrotic strike should benefit from PvP power. Proofs:

1) I test it on PTR 5.4.x and here is my post with screenshots http://forum.pandawow.ru/showthread.php?t=51479&p=399713&viewfull=1#post399713 . He is in Russian, but as you can see at calculations, necrotic strike was benefit from pvp power on PTR.

2)

(3:38 - 3:43). 1 necro with two trinkets + orc racial (without fallen crusader proc) absorbs 76.5k healing. We dont know exactly, how much attack power this dk have. But we can calculate a necrotic strike absorb with my stats http://s013.radikal.ru/i323/1510/d8/cb9ec21399ca.png (108687 attack power with two trinkets proc, fully geared).

(108687 * 2.25) - 80% resilience = 48909. Without pvp power, necrotic strike absorbs less than it should be (according to PTR and movie from official server)

4. 30.10.15

5. x100

6. 6/10

even the GM's are crying about dk's Lmfao

(no offense)

this is 5.4.7, we are in 5.4.8. 5.4.7 was full of bugs and blizzard worked alot of things until 5.4.8.

i will give everyone here who play DK a pro tip:

Learn to play and than you can reck even in 2s.

also when i played dk yesterday i did 60k necro /1 hit Oo

pce.

And no it doesnt benefit from PvP power. i talked with multiple dk's from retail also some glads.

No reason why pvp power should affect with necro. Look in the changelog also.

Movie from 5.4.8:
(2:30 - 2:40). Dk with all procs (two trinkets, fallen crusader and druid buff) did 81k absorb from NS. And this dk have only 538k HP, so he is not fully geared. Its impossible without pvp power multiplier.

Only it's Damage part should be affected by PvP Power, NOT the absorb.

Date of posts there is 11/2/2012. So, it was a 5.0.5 or 5.1. And here i find this: http://www.arenajunkies.com/topic/234282-so-necrotic-got-a-buff/#entry3813495

it was bugged, pre 5.1 it was ignoring resi and wasnt affected via pvp power and now it's scaling with resi+pvp power

In the same thread, players report it absorbing 85k with DOUBLE trinket procs, while in here it was going 100k+

Fix it before you change it back.

I know only 1 bug, he is not with Necrotic strike, but affect them. DKs plate specialization (passive spell) increases Strenght two times by 5%. So, necrotic strike are higher for 5% than it should be.

so dear Neff why you didnt report that ?

(well my bad if you already did in the russian section) But for now i can't find a post here.

god lmao

http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...-Strike-debuff

Neff, the damage part of the spell should be affected by Resilience, Attack Power and PvP Power. The healing absorb part is ONLY affected by Attack Power.

^ THIS

PvP power is about DMG so the dmg part should be affected not the absorb !

in the AJ thread peple say "since mop it affects with pvp power" So ? if its so there must be a changelog. Let see

http://wow.gamepedia.com/Necrotic_Strike

WoD Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Removed.

Hotfix (2014-01-10): "Necrotic Strike now reduces the target's casting speed on player targets by 10% (down from 25%)."

MoP Patch 5.4.0 (2013-09-10): Now deals 100% weapon damage (down from 150% weapon damage).

MoP Patch 5.3.0 (2013-05-21): Healing absorption effect has been increased to 225% from attack power, up from 200%.

MoP Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Weapon damage increased from 100% to 150%, and healing absorbed increased from 70% to 100% of AP. Cast time reduction increased to 50% (25% on players) from 30%, and applied even if the healing is fully absorbed.

Cataclysm Patch 4.0.6 (2011-02-08): Absorption effect is now reduced by the target's resilience. In addition, its debuff duration has been reduced to 10 seconds, down from 15.

Hotfix (2011-01-18): Necrotic Strike is now affected by resilience.

Cataclysm Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Added.

so we see

Cataclysm Patch 4.0.6 (2011-02-08): Absorption effect is now reduced by the target's resilience. In addition, its debuff duration has been reduced to 10 seconds, down from 15.

Hotfix (2011-01-18): Necrotic Strike is now affected by resilience.

and

nah it was bugged, pre 5.1 it was ignoring resi and wasnt affected via pvp power and now it's scaling with resi+pvp power

If they even add "PvP resilience" in the changelog and SINCE MoP it should scale with PvP power, why theres no changelog ?

ye nice, this sham has 515k hp i even doubt that he has full pvp gear lol ...

This video what you linked is on ~1.3-1.5 mmr. When i remember back on retail, when i played down my MMR in 2s to cap friends / for gold, almost every team was PvE geared / green geared there. So basicly no PvP resilence (only the standart amount ... was it 72 or 77% ?) . I doubt that a video on 1.3 mmr will show us how it should work.

(yes necro absorb affect with the enemy pvp resil.)

Idk why people still trying to make this class same retarded as it was before.

Movie from 5.4.8:
(2:30 - 2:40). Dk with all procs (two trinkets, fallen crusader and druid buff) did 81k absorb from NS. And this dk have only 538k HP, so he is not fully geared. Its impossible without pvp power multiplier.

Watch that video again ! and watch it with 0.25 % speed.

You will see he had a 17k necro and right after he has 81k.

So he did a 64k necrotic strike.

Blue post http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/2849-MoP-Art-on-Battle-net-Obsidian-Nightwing-RAF-Mount-Live-Blue-Posts-The-Daily-Blink:

Necrotic Strike doesn't seem worth it, and here is the math that agrees with me.

Great theorycraft. We increased Necrotic Strike’s damage from 100% weapon damage to 150% weapon damage, and its heal absorb component has been increased from 70% of AP to 100% of AP and benefits from PvP Power now. It’s fine that it varies in usefulness based on the damage reduction of the target, but it should almost always be worth using when the heal absorb is going to be fully used.

the absorb part is not affected negatively by neither Battle Fatigue nor Resilience. Why would it benefit from pvp power then? If it was supposed to do so, then it should also be affected at least by battle fatigue just as the normal absorb shields are (-60% effectiveness which will nerf it to hell even with a +60% bonus from the pvp power) Edited by dotadoom

i dont really trust the MMO posts tbh .. i mean there is no changelog on no site ..

nothing ... weird.

I found something new :

Its not a heal = Battle fatigue does nothing.

PVP power does affect the damage the strike does but does NOT increase the Healing absortion (Only scales with AP).

In my opinion, the spell is working as intended.

Also, it was supposed to be something similar to one of the warrior's spells(I don't remember which one), but as a core spell(at least seems like one).

Lets wait for an administrator to give the definitive answer.

Actually, the Necrotic Strike's debuff is slowing cast for 50% instead of 25%, didn't test it yet.

Absorb part of NS affected by target resilience.

so this says it should benefit from pvp power but also be affected by resilience? Do you know what that means? +60% absorb from pvp power and a -80% from resilience -> 1*1.6*0.2=32% of the current absorb and this will probably make 9/11 dks delete their characters

NS is affected by resilience already. You can test it in game.
