prime time is around 6-9pm in Moscow time (yeah, this would be artificially created time gap, but its a nice time for prime time)

 

Ye there used to be like 6 games playing around this time always, but ever since item lvl requirement, I have never seen more than 1 game being played at once lol...

Agreed. The BG announcements are totally useless. Better rewrite them into promoting new features like solo q 1v1 and 3v3.

Having people without honorgear in solo Q is not fun. It just makes people toxic and ragequit and all that jazz.

522-535ilvl is what seems appropriate but idk if they made a change since they don't announce jack-shit.

Before this ilvl requirement, there were literally ALWAYS 2 soloq games going on, even at like 4am lol.

 

Ever since you have implemented it, there has been literally 0 soloq games even at peak times you only get 1 game..

 

Everyone who cried about it, i hope your happy - now nobody can even queue it. GJ, server is more dead than ever!

Wtf are you saying ? Stop crying now and cap your chars in 2s LOL.

 

The problem is that only Range+melee+heal is a viable/accepted comp in soloque, not the Ilvl requirement. Holy fucking shit. If you want a lowgear 3s for cap ask for skirmish, TY!

I like the activity of the 3s soloque atm, it feels nice, but unfortunelly still low gear morons joking on queue.

 

L2p issue.

 

On a serious note solo Q is really good these days. Item lvl could be increased slightly but it only really matters depending on the comb you'll end up with.

yeah, but the problem is that it usually is not your l2p issue.

 

yday I was playing my druid at smth about 1850 mmr, and got some 522 rogue with 0cr who was just running circles on the arena, we were fighting low mmr team and we lost both games, and i got -35 per each which is pretty sad.

What could I possibly do? Nothing, you can't win 2v3 playing really really good. To win 2v3 you need your opponents to play really REALLY bad.

well that's the nature of soloq, u wont get 100% w/r there, but it examines ur versatility, and apparently, the OP'ness of ur spec (eg. mages on the start of soloq was totally dominating)

this thing happens rarely and i joyfully swim between 1700 and 2k cr without breaking down after a few thrown games

You guys are both not even reading the thread lmao. It is 520+ currently. I started to Q on my fresh lock last week, could Q up with 522.

Idk it's just me being baised on this subject, I've lost games instantly with 550 rdruids and won games with 522 rshamans.

 

I would not mind upping the iLvL requirement to 530 or even 540.

But I take the trade-off to play with 522 people ANY day to be able to just play 3v3 solo Q cause it is supposed to be active in the evening. Capping makes it attractive after all.

I would not mind upping the iLvL requirement to 530 or even 540.

 

In the first weeks, when Zeox implemented the 3s solo queue he setted the ilvl requirement to 530+ if I am not mistaken because we had many complaints that players were in the same team with noobs. Although, the truth was that both teams that there were playing had inexperienced players in their group since the ilvl requirement was the same for everyone so their argument wasn't valid in the first place. At least, this was a fact in most of the games.

 

Weeks later, players continued to complain but this time for a different reason. They stated that no one was queuing for 3s solo since we increased the ilvl requirement and then we were forced to set minimum ilvl requirement back to 520+.

 

Conclusion, community have to decide what they prefer more. They prefer to have decent mates in their team but get queue after 10-15 mins or probably be in a group with inexperienced and low geared players but get queue within few minutes.

 

Both sides have their points but only one can be real.

Like I stated before:

Even if these changes were made it would heavily increase queue times which is not worth it.

 

I believe full grieve is arena ready gear, might not be as best but the point of soloQ is that you get randoms, they can't be always good players.

Therefor 520+ ilvl and lower queue times are better overall.

also need to add a point - the more lowgear ppl play (in the absolute value, not percentage) the lesser the chance that you will match with them in 1 team

why? MMR infisuion, or mmr inflation. New chars in soloq's carry 1.5 mmr, they win, they lose - they add mmr to mmr pool, so - increases the gap between good and new players. When soloq opened, i remember i got 1850 and it was really high rating for a healer, but now this rating equals 2k+, so the gap increased, and generally (ye i still remember smth that happened half a year ago) now you get matched with new chars much more rarely than before (because then it happened so much that we even created this topic). The solution is just to wait without resetting mmr another half of the year, where general good rating would be equal 2.2k. Just make more people engage in soloq so they will add more mmr to this bracket

 

The ideal decision would be to add incentives for a fixed amount of games or wins for a character so that even unintrested played would play some - faster mmr inflation
