Divine shield / Ignite Armor

Wuvius

Recommended Posts

1. Divine Shield (ID=642)

2. When using this spell it removes all the stacks of Ignite Armor (ID=144467)

3. When using bubble it should NOT remove the stacks of Ignite Armor (ID=144467) and should only make you immune to the damage for the duration of Divine Shield

Forbearance was NOT caused by lay on hands as you can see here:

1:40 Forbearance was applied meaning the player has used either divine shield, Lay on hands or Blessing of protection and at 1:40 in the REPLAY you can see DIVINE SHIELD was used but the players stacks of Ignite Armor was not removed or reset, they persisted for the duration of bubble and the paladin carried on taking heavy damage.

Divine Shield must remove all negative effects and restore health to us with the help of the symbol of divine protection.

"The symbol of the divine shield is optional. When dispelling negative effects with the Divine Shield, you regain 10% of your health for each dispelled effect. The total amount of health restored in this way cannot exceed 50% of the maximum reserve."

Yeah for pvp you are correct. However in PvE there are certain abilities which should not get removed by divine shield such as Ignite Armor, Frost-storm Strike, Corrosive Blast, Fatal-strike etc.

let me ask you. what is so special about pve? that ignores divine shield abilities

It's implemented to prevent players from solo tanking the bosses. Blizzard did not want this to happen, it's the same as in 5.0.5 they changed pets taunting bosses because in Mogu Shan vaults players pets would taunt emperor adds and solo tank them because pets have 99% damage reduction to aoe effects.

Actually good paladins do not need bubble because bosses base melee damage is so low.

Developers should work on fixing the melee damage of bosses so they kill 2 birds with 1 stone ( they also fix vengeance gains ) then they should fix this.

For paladins tanks and so few people play(no one) and you are still looking for their shortcomings.
