We are switching to the authentication protocol that was used on the official World of Warcraft servers during the Mists of Pandaria (5.4.8) era. The same authentication method is already used on our forum. From now on, you will need to use the email address linked to your account instead of your login username when signing into the game. This change will significantly reduce the number of client crashes that frequently occurred on the login screen, character selection screen, and in several other situations. It will also allow us to introduce new features and improvements in the future. If you use automatic login in the launcher, you will need to set it up again after the update by entering your email address instead of your login username. If you do not remember which email address is linked to your account, you can find it in your Control Panel. You can continue to sign in to the Control Panel using either your login username or your email address.
