Frost mage stat priority is 6% hit -> intellect -> haste -> mastery -> crit. Red sockets = 160 intellect Yellow sockets = 80 intellect & 160 haste Blue sockets = 80 intellect & 80 pvp power ;) You go haste because faster casts, more icicles, faster globals etc since mastery for frost mage isnt that great anymore.
