I mean maybe it's not intended to be like that cause most stuff gets removed when gates open but it did work in mop at least at some point cause I can remember doing that when playing thug for the opener. You can just summon the pet buff release it and do that to get every buff you need and last you summon the pet you play with I don't see any bug here if they patched it sometime in Mop just find prove it but it worked for at least the first season.

Pretty sure Hunters used to do that on retail

So the bug occurs if you make a new mage with certain races like: Nightelf Gnome Worg Undead Bloodelf Goblin If you specc into frost for example you will still have fireball and be able to get arcane missle proccs for some reason. As long as you don't change your specc you will be able to get arcane missle proccs and use fireball.
