PainTheMultiboxer Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Greetings, Me, and I'm pretty sure most other players would love to see some kind of a level requirement for battlegrounds, for example 496(ish). That way, people without gear, and people that have like 200k HP won't join battlegrounds and ruin them for everyone else to the point where they don't even want to queue any more because they keep facing premades over and over with 200k hp people in the team. That's just pointless. I am hoping that something will be done about this since this is a pretty serious issue considering the fact that it's nearly impossible to win a battleground with people that have 200k hp in the team. Feel free to move this topic if needed, not sure if this is the right place for that. Thank you, and have a good one. Best regards.
Schroox Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 Indeed, that would be great! And also make RBGs active so we don't have to face that many premades anymore, it's just annoying.
PainTheMultiboxer Posted April 27, 2018 Author Posted April 27, 2018 Thank you for your feedback. RBGs are not that necessary, but the item level requirement really is. I think RBGs should be available when the time comes, preferably ASAP, however, it doesn't really matter. Item level requirement, however, does matter, a lot. I'd love to see this implemented as soon as possible.
Noneedholy Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 (edited) for example 496(ish) You shouldn't have to gear up to be able to gear up. Edited April 28, 2018 by Noneedholy 1
PainTheMultiboxer Posted April 28, 2018 Author Posted April 28, 2018 Yes, you should. Players can get at least some decent gear from the vendor prior to queueing for battlegrounds. 200k hp people ruin the battleground for everyone else. At least get some starting gear prior to getting into the queue. Thank you for your feedback!
Wuvius Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 My only issue with this is not being able to que up on x100 in order to get 496 ilvl I would have to farm full timeless isle gear which would bring me to around 470 ilvl ish or lower ( because I cant get a 2nd trinket from there ) I wouldn't be able to get a 2nd trinket without help because well you want the cap to be 496 I presume if players should get starting gear xD so I cant que a BG. R.I.P to the players on x100 who do PVP as well. ( if they wanna gear a char ) - You can't exactly exclude somebody from a BG because of their gear. They are there to get gear.
tiggar47 Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 - You can't exactly exclude somebody from a BG because of their gear. They are there to get gear. I agree with Cogman, you can't exclude someone from Battlegrounds because of their gear, but if team's overall "Ilvl" could be equalized somehow then it would make games more enjoyable for both sides.
Noneedholy Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 (edited) Some of you forget that this is a random battleground. If you want any sort of competitive or fair battleground you have to que rated. There are sometimes queues in the evening (especially on the weekend) There won't be a MMR system nor a ilvl requirement. I mean it's obvious, for what? Its a random bg and if you want a good BG experience you HAVE TO que rated. Battlegrounds are a way to gear up and they always were. Plus i don't really see the problem. As a fullgeared dude who is tryharding normal bg's you can literally solocarry that. Just play a proper DPS class and you are good to go. Literally 1v6'd on my mage last weekend when i just queued a random BG. Most people are lowgeared so it's not really a problem. Another point: If i assume right you are a multiboxer ? If that's true, never ever complain about someone ruining your battleground experience. I can imagine how bad/new/casual player feel like facing x4 the same dude just oneshotting their ass. Just my 2 cents ofc, i don't really play random BG's because it's just not a form of competitive PvP, so you shouldnt treat it like it is aswell. Edited April 29, 2018 by Noneedholy 1
mayasucksatlife Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 (edited) people need to gear, no matter if they are freshly level 90 if you have known how bgs worked & how to teamwork, you wouldnt have made this thread the low hp people are mostly targeted by the enemy team, which is kinda useful because they can stun and keep them busy from approaching, taking bases, flags and so on Edited April 29, 2018 by mayasucksatlife
PainTheMultiboxer Posted April 29, 2018 Author Posted April 29, 2018 Noneedholy, I am not one of those tryhards who queue BGs all day with premades, I just like doing BGs casually, but it's not all that fun when it's pretty much an instant loss when you see your entire team with 150k-200k hp. I agree, the item level requirement probably isn't the best idea, but I am not sure if there's something else that can be done about that. And yes, you are correct, I am a multiboxer and that is quite obvious since it's literally in my name, but I don't see your point. Just because I am a multiboxer, that means I can not state my opinion? That literally makes no sense. I don't see how multiboxers are "ruining" battleground experience for others? No matter if it's 4 people controlling single toons, or a single person controlling 4 toons, there's nothing else to it. In fact, 2 people who work together can take down a multiboxer easily, while, for 4 separate people playing single toons, you'd need 4-5 people that are equally geared. Regardless of the numbers, I multibox 4 toons for BGs, 35 for world pvp, and 50 on retail. And I can tell you right now, 2 people working together can take down my BG team with ease. 15-20 coordinated people can take down my 35 toons in open world pvp with no struggle at all. My point is, multiboxers are easy to take down since our toons are always grouped up, making us vulnerable to aoe. There's some tips for ya. Mayasucksatlife, they get one shotted with a basic aoe spell, so well... Regardless, I'll have to agree with Noneedholy that Random BGs are obviously not a form of competitive PvP and should not be treated as such, perhaps I went too deep into this. Again, I am just stating my opinions and suggestions, afterall, it's up to the staff team if they will do something about that or not.
