FAQ how to solve the problems with the game.

Information on the registration process:

 

1. Download the game client. Information in the thread How to start playing: instruction.

2. To create a game account, you need to register on the official website of the project.

Take the registration process very seriously: specify only a valid and secure email address (for example, from, @gmail.com, @yandex.ru).

3. To enter the game you need to use your login (not email) and password from the account you registered on the website.

 

Below there are some spoilers which are containing solutions for several issues:

  1) When you try to connect, it gives error #132 or #134.

1. Delete folder "Cache" in the game folder.

2. Most often this error is caused by the fact that your character is in a crash zone. Repair your character in the Control panel.

  Note:

To repair character, need to exit game. If your character was not in the recreation area i.e. in the capital of the faction (Alliance or Horde), the sanctuary (for example, Dalaran) and you left the game not using the "Logout" button, you will have to wait 1-2 minutes after each such exit from the game for the character repair in Control panel, otherwise it will be written that the character is still in the game.

 

 

3. Also this error appears due to some addons.

The solution: check all available addons, disable them and try to log-in again.

4. Try to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005-2022 Redistributable Package.

  Note:

Before installing "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005-2022 (x86, x64)", uninstall from your computer:

 

Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 (x86 and x64)

Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 (x86 and x64)

or

Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 (x86 and x64)

Select the Start button, open Control Panel, and then select Uninstall a program:

 

Visual C++ libraries x86 and x64 bit, both must be installed for a 64-bit Windows operating system. Independently track new versions and download them can from the official website https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/downloads/ where exactly download, look at the picture:

also, before installing a new version, uninstall the previous version of "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015, 2017 or 2019 (x86 and x64)".

Visual C++ "2015", "2017" and "2019" are programmatically the same and cannot be installed on top of each other, so you should uninstall them before installing the new version.

This error is related to the inaccessibility of connecting the game to the Internet or it has to do with the file corruption.

 

1. Delete folder "Cache" in the game folder.

2. After downloading the game "PandaWoW 5.4.8" via torrent is completely completed (100%), stop distributing the game "PandaWoW 5.4.8" in the torrent.

2. Make sure that the Windows Firewall and the antivirus do not block the game from going online.

3. The first, and most common cause of occurrence. Set offline mode of the Internet Explorer browser. You need to go into it and remove the tick from the point "work autonomously".

* An error could occur after the client files were changed, including third-party patches, launchers, which made changes to the game client,

if the removal of these patches from the client does not correct the occurrence of the error, in this case you unfortunately, will have to download the game client again  |  another way to download the game.

  2) When you try to connect, it gives error "The account is closed or no longer valid".

You can see this message if you repeatedly entered the wrong password.

Solution: wait 10-20 minutes, and try to connect again.

  3) When you try to connect, it gives error "The information you have entered is not valid".

 

When entering the game, you must enter a login (not an email) from an account registered on the website.

Check if you can log into Control panel (to make sure that the login and password were entered without errors when entering the game).

 

1. Launch the game through PandaWoW Launcher which should be located in the game folder.

2. Open the game folder and delete all files and folders except the “Data”, “Interface”, “Screenshots”, “WTF” folders and the “config.json” file. Download our files (16.1 MB) and place them in the game folder with a replacement, launch the game through PandaWoW Launcher.

 

 

* If you also do not have access to your account, then you can have a different password.

Solution: use the Recover password.

(In the received letter you will receive only the password. The account login has not changed, remains the same; in the future, you will need to enter the old account login and new password from the letter).

 

* If, when you try to restore your account, you receive a message that there are no accounts registered to the specified mail, it is possible that someone else took over the account. Contact us using these guidelines:
Change account details or account restore.

 

  4) When you try to connect, it gives error "This account need to be converted to a Battle.net account".

 

Lack of connection to PandaWoW servers for several reasons (Lack of realmlist in the config.wtf file, Launching the game not through PandaWoW files, problems with the network card, no internet connection, blocking the connection by antivirus software or Windows firewall).

 

1. Open the game folder, in the «WTF» folder there is a «Config» file, open it using Notepad or Wordpad and check if it contains the line:

SET realmlist "logon.pandawow.me"

 

If not, add it. Launch the game through PandaWoW Launcher which should be located in the game folder and check the connection.

 

 

2. Download our files to run and place them in the game folder, unzip the archive and launch the game through our PandaWoW Launcher. Check the connection.

3. Right-click on the "PandaWoW 5.4.8" game folder and select "Properties", uncheck "Read-Only", click "Apply" and "OK".

4. The problem may be related to the drivers of the network card, so if the previous steps did not help, update the drivers.

5. A firewall or antivirus software can also block the connection. Add our startup files (PandaWoW-32.exe, PandaWoW-64.exe, PandaWoWLauncher.exe) to the exclusions of your antivirus and disable the firewall to check the connection. If this is the problem, then you will need to configure the firewall so that you do not have to turn it off every time.

 

 

  5) When you try to run wow.exe, it gives error "Data\enUS\locale-enUS.MPQ: Cannot stream required archive data. Please check your network connection".

1. Your account has been banned. You can check this by logging in Control panel. To join the game and Control panel use your login (not email).

2. The server is restarted. Usually, it takes no more than 5-10 minutes to come back online.

3. Perhaps on the server, there are technical works so please check the news in the proper section or for some reason server "fell" and administration trying to bring it back online.

4. Perhaps your protection programs (antivirus and firewall) are blocking your connection in-game. You need to disable them, restart the computer and check if you're able to log in the game.
5. Use IP Release/Renew and Flush DNS:

1) Click Start.

2) Select Programs.

3) Select Accessories and locate the Command Prompt shortcut.

4) Right click the Command Prompt shortcut and select Run as Administrator from the drop down menu.

5) Type ipconfig /release in the command prompt.

6) Wait a few seconds for a reply that the IP address has been released.

7) Type ipconfig /renew in the command prompt.

8).Wait a few seconds for a reply that the IP address has been re-established.

9) Type ipconfig /flushdns in the command prompt.

10) Close the command prompt and attempt to make a connection.

  for Windows 8/8.1/10/11

1) While on the desktop, press Windows logo  key and type cmd.

2) Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.

3) Type ipconfig /release in the command prompt.

4) Wait a few seconds for a reply that the IP address has been released.

5) Type ipconfig /renew in the command prompt.

6) Wait a few seconds for a reply that the IP address has been re-established.

7) Type ipconfig /flushdns in the command prompt.

8).Close the command prompt and attempt to make a connection.

 

6. Reset routing:

If your cannot open our website and connect to the game servers, you can try to reset the connection routes:

 

1) Press the Windows logo  key + R.

2) Type cmd and press Enter key.

3) In the console that opens, type Route -f command and press Enter key.

4) Close the console, restart the modem and the computer.

 

7. If "IP Release, Renew, and Flush DNS" and "Reset routing" did not help, then, try to play through a VPN (for example, from our user: https://forum.pandawow.me/topic/211374-vpn-dlja-teh-u-kogo-vysokij-pingzaderzhka-svyshe-150-ms-lokalnaja-v-igre/).

 

  7) Client settings are not saved.

 

If every time you log in game, you don't have client settings saved and every time you ask to accept a license agreement, you need to:

Right-click on the folder with the game, then select "Properties" and go to the "General" tab. Uncheck the "Read only" attribute.

Click "Apply", then "OK" and try to connect again.

 

Note: any settings in the game are saved only when the process is terminated correctly.

If you have changed something, if you have crashed or if server restarted, the settings will roll back.

  8). A specific character or all characters in the account can't enter the game since the bar doesn't reach to the end.

 

If at the entrance to the game you observe that all the players are running in a place and you can not use any spells, you need to leave your guild.

The solution: as soon as you enter the game world, immediately write into the chat /gquit command or /gdisband if you are leader of the guild.

 

If this does not help, delete the Account folder, it's in World of Warcraft / WTF

It will be necessary to re-install your add-ons but the problem should disappear.

 

If you stopped downloading the game, you need to remove the addon to replace the interface.

At the moment, we know the solution for such a problem with the add-on ElvUI.

 

 

Launcher issues:

  The launcher does not start, so the game cannot be started.

 

In order for launcher to work correctly you should already have installed.

Minimum:

• Update for Universal C Runtime in Windows for Windows 8.1 and previous versions
(if, when you try to run launcher, it gives error: api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll).
• Microsoft Visual C++
(Visual C++ libraries x86 and x64 bit, both must be installed for a 64-bit Windows operating system).
• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5
(not required for Windows 10 and Windows 11).
• And also, have set a default browser in the setting your operating system.

  Notes: for Windows 7/8/8.1

1. If for some reason "Microsoft .NET Framework" does not install, try this version: Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.1.

 

Pandawow Launcher in most cases does not start due to the incorrect work of the "Microsoft .NET Framework", example https://forum.pandawow.ru/showthread.php?t=#post1430571. 

Therefore, if you have already installed Microsoft .NET Framework and more than one version, then uninstall them all and again install only one version:

Select the Start button, open Control Panel, and then select Uninstall a program

 

if the Microsoft .NET Framework is not uninstalled or not installed, use special utility from Microsoft troubleshooter for uninstall or install.

 

2. Your Windows 7 operating system should not be an old version (need "Service Pack 1" and "Windows Aero" enabled).

  Note: for Windows 10/11

In most cases, the PandaWoW Launcher does not start due to the incorrect operation of the "Microsoft .NET Framework".

 

In Windows 10 and 11 operating systems, the "Microsoft .NET Framework" is already built into the system and is updated through Windows Update.

If you installed the "Microsoft .NET Framework" over the built-in one, it could be damaged. Remove "Microsoft .NET Framework" and all its versions:

Select the Start button, write control panel and open it, then select Uninstall a program

 

 

Then install: Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8.1 Runtime.

  "A task was canceled" - if this notification appears after launching the launcher

1. If the error "A task was canceled" occurs, you need to disable ipv6 in the adapter properties:

2. If disabling ipv6 in the adapter properties does not help, then perhaps your provider is blocking Internet access for the launcher.

Turn on VPN (for example, from our user), and then run the launcher again.

Or place the following files in the game folder: pandawow-32.dll and pandawow-64.dll.

 

  If, when try to start the game through the launcher, it gives error "Crash".

You need to send the crashlog.txt file to the developers. How to send:

 

1. Open the game folder
2. In the game folder search file crashlog.txt
3. Publish the text of the file to the resource pastebin.com (registration no need) or upload the selected files to any cloud space:

* You can try to fix the error yourself by resetting the launcher settings, to do this, delete the config.json file in the game folder and run the launcher again.

 

* What to do if antivirus or Windows Defender sees a virus in the launcher and prevents it from loading and running.

 

 

WoD models issues:

  Information.

1. For the WoD models to work correctly, the game must be downloaded completely via torrent or Google Drive.

2. Download WoD models. Open the "WodModels" archive and extract the files into the "Data" folder at the root of your client. For example, "D:\Games\PandaWoW 5.4.8\Data".

3. Enable HD Textures in the game settings:

Ping issues:

  High latency in the game.

 

1. Type in the game chat: .server info in the chat at the very bottom an answer will appear, for example "Server delay: 7 ms", if the value of "ms" is more than 150, then this is an increased server delay (ping), if it is less than 150, then try enter the game through our proxies, for this in the character selection menu, in the upper right corner, select the "Change Realm" item, then select the realm you are playing, but with the "[EU]" or "[RU]" prefix where you will have the least latency in the game, for example, the realm of "PandaWoW Fun [EU]":

When playing through a proxy, in the game, the settings of the character panels, addons and macros will return to the standard ones, so if you have already configured them, then you should move these settings to the realm with the proxy, to do this, open the game folder, then WTF > Account > account name > the name of the realm (for example, "PandaWoW Fun") - in the folder with the realm, copy all the contents and paste it into the folder with the realm with the proxy (for example, in the folder "PandaWoW Fun [EU]"):

Solving several problems in the gameplay:

  9) Blizzard_AchievementUI: Disabled (and similar to the other errors).

If you go restart you pandawow client and go in-game, the Achievement UI will work.

  10) Cursor does not move in-game.

Start the game, go to System, Advanced. There, locate and change"Hardware Cursor".
 

 

If that fails , then locate the folder with the game folder called WTF, edit the file config.wtf. You need to change one line SET gxWindow "0" to SET gxWindow "1" and save. There's no need to edit other lines in the file for this problem.
 
 

  11) How to deal with combat bug.

 

The most simple solution - write about it in Global channel. If the Game Master is online, he/she will remove your combat bug. Game Master may be busy or did not notice your message, repeat it several times, but do not flood because moderator will Mute you. You can write a ticket or use the Repair Character feature in Control panel on the website.
Some skill that can help: Shadowmeld, Invisibility, Vanish, Feign Death.
If you play other classes , it remains only to die or ALT + F4.

  12) Problems with getting experience in the game.

 

 

If you kill the experience gain, or and can't see experience bar that displays the amount of experience at level 89 and under, you go the NPC Slahtz(Horde) orBehsten(Alliance).

  13) Problem with inactive links in chat for professions, nicknames, items, spells.

 

Right click on the chat tab"general", then "settings" and below click "chat defaults", click and close the window. You can right click on general chat tab where you will find an option "Make Interactive" - Wich should be included. This function allows you to interact and chat with links.

  14) The problem of preserving the effect of transmogrification.

 
 

If you have any problems with preservation of transmogrification effect, then, after you transmogify all the necessary items, put them in your bag. Exit the game world and go back. Now equip your transmogifyd items.

  15) Problems with the profession. If you can't see the profession and you can't remove it.

 

You completed all 3 profession quests, for example Elixir Master, Transmutation Master, Potion Master - it's reason why your book bugged.

 

Deleting a bugged profession: Write this in the chat: /script AbandonSkill (ххх), where it says ххх put ID of the profession to be removed. For ID of the professions see WoWHead.com. For example for"engineering" this value is 202 ( the latest number in the link to the page WoWHead: https://wowhead.com/skill=202). 

If you do not want to delete the profession, but are simply interested in its start-up, you can type in chat or use a macro: /cast "profession". For example: /cast Cooking

  16) Registration does not work in BG.

 

If you press the button on the registration BG or arena and nothing happens, probably your character is dependent on the system and is still listed as a member of one of them. Use your mount to fly up high enough, dismount and commit suicide in-game, if that does not help, then use the portal to move to locations. This can be any stationary portal or the one for you to put a mage. After trying again, if does not help, restart the game, wait , repair the character at control panel and try again.

  17) Visual bug: equipment displays red stats.

How to fix it, standard:

 

• Repair character in Сontrol panel;
• Repait items in the game;
• If this equip was reforged, refund all stats (cancel reforge)

  18) Problems with chat: you can't see messages, channels etc.

How to fix these problems, standard:

 

• Click on the "General" window and choose "Reset Chat windows". If it don't help you, click again "General" -> "Settings". Check a checkmark on "whisper" and other functions.
• Esc -> Interface, check all checkmarks in window "Social".
• Try to disable chat addons.
• "General" -> "Settings" -> "Chat Defaults" -> logout.

  19) I'm hunter and i've lost all my pets!

How to fix this problem, standard:

 

• Repair character in Сontrol panel;
• Change your specialization to BM (Beast Mastery) - maybe you have pets, which work only with BMs.
• Put all the pets in a stables at the Stable Master in your city and pull them all back.
 
We don't know reason why hunters lost pets. When reason will be found - it will be fixed.

  20) My pet have gigantic size.

 

Write in a chat this script:

/script PetAbandon ();

This script resets the effect size.

  21) I putted am item in the auction house for 500k gold, it got sold few hours ago but I only received 20k gold in the mailbox. Refund my gold!

Don't post items in the auction house for 400k gold and more - in this case price can be reseted.

And we don't refund gold.

  22) I create a macro in the game or connect to the chat channel: /join world, /join english, after entering the game they are deleted.

Try the following:

 

1. If there is an antivirus, then try to disable it for a while and check if macros are saved in the game, and try connects to chat channels: /join world, /join english (if the reason is in the antivirus, then add the game folder to the antivirus exclusion or to the allowed programs).

2. Right-click on the "PandaWoW 5.4.8" game folder and select "Properties", uncheck "Read-Only", click "Apply" and "OK".
