Tested on the FUN server to the date 07.10.2014

Spell name:Divine Insight

 

How it is bugged: The shadow specialization version of this talent is bugged: it has way more than 5% chance to reset the cd of Mind Blast and make it istant for 12 seconds.

 

How it should work: As the tooltip says, Shadow Word: Pain ticks should have a 5% chance to trigger the talent effect.

 

Priority 10/10, as with several istant Mind Blast a shadow priest can get its main ressource backed up in seconds, getting way more ccs (Psychic Horror) and burst (Devouring Plague) than normal, to the point of being op. In fact currently you can see Shadow priests simply walking around without casting a single spell and spamming Devouring Plague to oneshot everything in range.

For those who are looking for a proof, you simply need to duel a shadow priest and count how many Mind Blast he will actually have to cast to see how this talent is broken. In a duel of 40 secs they can actually cast 2 Devouring Plague at full power (3 shadow orbs), and that's virtually impossible in a 1v1 situation, because Shadow Word Pain can't be spread to multiple targets.

They don't even need to cast Mind Fly because all they do is casting istant Mind Blasts thanks to the broken talent.

y, it's broken. But i highly doubt it'll get fixed, nobody gives a shit about the international forums. I don't even bother reporting bugs anymore, they r simply left ignored.

And the best is that you don't even need to talent Divine Insight for instant Mind Blast procs you can get the Infusion and you still get Divine Insight Regardless you have talented it or not :D

Devouring Plague
1 Insanity40 yd range
Instant cast
Consumes all of the caster's Shadow Orbs to deal 0 Shadow damage and an additional 0 Shadow damage every 1 sec for 6 sec. Also heals the caster for 1% of their maximum health when it deals periodic damage.

Damage and healing increased based on the number of Shadow Orbs consumed.
