Blizzard never had a rule of 3 months or 6. These were the old rules / punishment duration till now.
Minor Violations
Harassment or Defamation
Insulting other characters, players, Blizzard employees, or groups of people in-game and externally.
Note: Ongoing harassment will lead to more severe penalties. 120 Min Mute for insulting characters, players, groups of people in-game or externally. 30 Days ban to Permanent ban for insulting Blizzard employees.
Spamming
Using the same phrase, similar phrases, or pure gibberish excessively, will lead to 60 Min to 120 Min Mute.
Repeating the same phrase more than once in a period of 30 seconds, will lead to 5 Min to 30 Min Mute
Advertising in-game gambling or casinos, will lead to 120 Min to 7 Days Mute, depends on the situation.
Serious Violations
Obscene or Vulgar Language
Using language that is crude, offensive, or pornographic in nature, will lead to 120 Min Mute to 7 Days ban
Referring inappropriately to human anatomy or bodily functions, will lead to 5 Min Mute to 30 Min Mute
llegal Drugs or Activities
Referencing abuse of illegal drugs, will lead to 120 Min Mute to 7 Days Mute
Referencing illegal activities, will lead to 7 days Ban+
Advertising
Advertising non-beneficial, non-Blizzard related businesses, organizations, or websites, will lead to 30 Days Ban to Permanent
Copyrighted Materials
Including copyrighted material in user-created content without approval, will lead to 7 Days ban to 30 Days, depends on the situation.
Hindering Teammates
Going AFK or refusing to participate in a team game, will lead to 7 Days Ban+
Intentionally dying in a team game to benefit the opposing team, will lead to 30 Days Ban to Permanent, depends on the situation.
Severe Violations
Real-Life Information and Threats
Threatening someone with real-life violence or harm, will lead to 120 Min Mute to 7 Days Ban, depends on the situation.
Distributing another player's, or a Blizzard employee's real-life information (name, address, phone number, etc.), will lead to permanent ban.
Additional Information about Real-Life Information and Threats: We will not tolerate real-life threats or distribution of personal information in our games. We apply severe penalties in these cases and engage local law enforcement to ensure the safety of all parties involved
Racial, Ethnic, or National
Promoting racial, ethnic, or national hatred, will lead to 120 Min Mute to 30 Days Ban
Using a racial, ethnic, or national slur, will lead to 7 Days Ban to 30 Days Ban
Alluding to symbols of racial, ethnic, or national hatred, will lead to 7 Days Ban to 30 Days Ban
Extreme Sexuality or Violence
Referring to extreme and/or violent sexual acts, will lead to 7 Days Ban
Referring to extreme and/or violent real life actions, will lead to 7 Days Ban to permanent
Sexual Orientation
Insulting or negatively portraying someone based on their sexual orientation, will lead to 7 Days Ban to 30 Days Ban
Religion
Negatively portraying major religions or religious figures, will lead to 7 Days Ban to 30 Days Ban
Insulting or negatively portraying someone based on their religious orientation, will lead to 30 Days Ban to permanent
Exploitation
Exploiting bugs, abusing game mechanics, or cheating the game. See our Exploitation Policy article for more details, will lead to permanent Ban
Griefing Other Players
Our games allow players to interact in a variety of ways—not all of them constructive. You may encounter players that steal resource nodes, lead monsters to new areas, or block access to NPCs or other in-game objects. Our GM team will not intervene in these situations, unless the offending player commits one of the violations listed above, will lead to certain ban, depends on how big the griefing is.
Guild Chat
Because of the voluntary nature of guild participation, we take a more lenient stance in guild channels. Only the most severe violations (i.e. Racial/Ethnic/National, Extreme Sexual/Violence, Real-life Threats) will lead to certain ban, depends on how big the violation is.

There is no BLOCKING for player to enter arena etc. There's no additional ban duration after the first punishment has expired.
