why? MMR infisuion, or mmr inflation. New chars in soloq's carry 1.5 mmr, they win, they lose - they add mmr to mmr pool, so - increases the gap between good and new players. When soloq opened, i remember i got 1850 and it was really high rating for a healer, but now this rating equals 2k+, so the gap increased, and generally (ye i still remember smth that happened half a year ago) now you get matched with new chars much more rarely than before (because then it happened so much that we even created this topic). The solution is just to wait without resetting mmr another half of the year, where general good rating would be equal 2.2k. Just make more people engage in soloq so they will add more mmr to this bracket
The ideal decision would be to add incentives for a fixed amount of games or wins for a character so that even unintrested played would play some - faster mmr inflation
