Use wow model viewer then. To choose the custom background you want ingame, zoom all the way in, hide your UI and take a Screenshot of the place you want your character in, then open the screenshot and import the modelviewer character. Your WTF folder should be in the main WoW folder, there should manually be account folder and config.wtf file in WTF folder.
